Our Parenting Models

Tried & True is grounded in two research and evidenced based models:

• Common Sense Parenting® (CSP®)

• Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®).

Both models have been proven by research and deliver a consistent structure with lasting, positive results across all ages, from toddlers to teens. A number of studies report improvement in:

•   Child's ability to self-regulate

•   Parent's ability to teach social skills

•   Family attachment and connection

•   Parent and child problem-solving ability

Parents who attend and complete the program report improved parenting skills, increased connection and reduced child behavior problems, which are maintained long after parents complete the classes. Both programs have shown positive effects with a wide range of parents and children, and are currently listed on national registries of evidence-based practice, including the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC) registry.
